Hey Bill,
Glad you got it sorted! Its an odd thing to make compulsory, but the underlying PowerShell in Skype for Business somewhat forces our hand here.
Havent seen that particular error before so difficult to say without the logs. Could you log a ticket here – https://theucguys.com/support-tickets/ – and attached the logs please. I assume you are getting past licence activation and app main window is opening?
Hey Steven,
As of now the only option we have for product activation is over the internet on port 443 (SSL). I understand that this may be an issue for some, so we will look at implementing an offline method in a future release. Apologies that we cannot assist at this time, and thank you very much for taking the time to provide feedback.
Thanks,
The UC Guys
Hey Jonathan,
Sorry about the delay, I wasn’t alerted to the post for reasons I am investigating.
What were the errors you received?
Thanks!
Hey Seth,
Sorry about the delay, I wasn’t alerted to the post. I am aware of this issue, and it will be resolved in the next version by making the field required. For a yet unknown reason, PowerShell doesn’t not allow the description to be blank once it has been set for the first time. As you correctly describe, the native UI does not have this issue.
Thanks for using our software!
